The Award Ceremony of Autumn Term-2021 Passing Out Courses comprising 149 Regular Course and 132 Technical Graduate Course was conducted at the Khetarpal Auditorium, IMA today on 08 Dec 2021. Gentleman Cadets were felicitated by Lt Gen Harinder Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, Sena Medal, VSM, Commandant, Indian Military Academy. He bestowed medals and awards to the outstanding Gentleman Cadets who excelled in various fields during their pre-commission training at the Academy.
The training imparted at the academy aims to develop the qualities of character, intellect, fitness and competence needed by future ready officers, who at all times in their career must be prepared to lead.
This year 2021 also marks the 50th anniversary of victory of the Indian Armed Forces in the 1971 War and the year is being observed as Swarnim Vijay Varsh in Honour of the Indian Soldiers who laid down their lives in the line of duty. To commemorate the occasion of Swarnim Vijay Varsh, Indian Military Academy has instituted the Bangladesh Victory Trophy to be awarded to Overall Best Performing Foreign Gentleman Cadet of Passing Out Course.
