A good news for candidates of NDA (National Defence Academy) exam , from Uttarakhand.
Earlier, only Dehradun was the center for conducting NDA exam in Uttarakhand but as per the latest reports, now along with Dehradun, Almora and Srinagar have also been granted approval to conduct NDA exam in Uttarakhand. On this decision of UPSC, Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat has expressed his gratitude to the Central Government (GoI) and the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Four new centers have been approved for NDA exam across the country. Two of these centers are in Uttarakhand.
Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat has been giving personal interest over this matter since his tenure as MP and had also written a letter to the Union Home Minister for the same. The Chief Minister stated that youth of Uttarakhand has always been inclined to join the armed forces. Every year a large number of candidates selected for training in NDA, are from Uttarakhand.
